Hello, you wonderful you. I'm your host, Ambassador George Kwabenah Appiah... Ghana's Ambassador to the Internet. Well, sort of.

And I'm here to serve you.

I'm here to answer your nagging questions about life, technology, Ghana ... and everything else in-between!

But first, a little about me. I live in the sunny city of Accra, Ghana... and I've lived (nearly) all my twenty-something years on this planet in this tropical paradise that I call home.

Down here... you're always drenched: either by the unforgiving sun, or by the unpredictable rains. Either way, that's nature's call... and you can't help but learn to adapt.

Growing up on a little cocoa farm tucked somewhere far away in a deep forest in the Western Region of Ghana, one simply had to learn to survive. Back then there was no electricity, and certainly no computers or even telephone. Just a lot of lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Lions and tigers and ...

For us kids, the "coolest" thing and our only connection with "modern" life was this big tractor that passed through the cottages every week to haul bags of cocoa beans.

So you can guess what "inspired" me then, and what I would have told you if you were to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up... a tractor driver!

And talking about telephone and computers... I didn't make my first telephone call till my final year in high school, and I didn't touch a computer till my third year in the university. But when I finally came in contact with each of these, I knew I had the tools of the future in my hands, and that to thrive in this new world I would have to be a master of these tools. Thus my never-ending inquiry into how stuff work, far beyond what I learned in the classroom for my bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

I'm certainly no master of all knowledge, and I don't try to be. Rather, what I've got is a unique intuition, a unique perspective on issues, and a unique approach to solving problems. This is what I'm here to share with you.
